United Nations #HappySoundsLike

Client Lead for United Nations 70th Anniversary activation the the General Assembly, New York, in conjunction with a global social media campaign and live activation at SXSW for the International Day of Happiness in conjunction with Nokia Mixradio.

The social media campaign used the universal language of music to show solidarity with the millions of people around the world with #HappySoundsLike; a call to arms for the global citizenry “to nominate a song that brings a smile to your face” and create the worlds happiest playlist, available globally to download from a dedicated campaign hub available in 22 languages. The campaign was kickstarted by the Secretary General himself, continued by global celebrity song selections from advocates including Charlize Theron, Lang Lang, Priyanka Chopra and Angelique Kidjo, along with internationally-acclaimed artists such as James Blunt, Idris Elba, David Guetta, John Legend and Ed Sheeran. The campaign concluded with two live moments on the International Day of Happiness; Pharrell Williams performing in the United Nations General Assembly, and Cody Simpson performing at SXSW.
